Q U R A N
•
The Multilingual Quran Project
- a Quranic search engine with the Shakir,
Abdullah Yusuf Ali and
Pickthall translations in English, as well
as the original Arabic text. It also
has the Pooya/ Ali tafsir, which is
excellent for background information and a summary of the exegesis.
•
Al-Mizan website - official
website of Allamah Muhammad Hussein Tabataba'i's
Tafsir al Mizan, in English. An excellent resource for
in-depth analysis of the verses, with many supporting ahadeeth.
Unfortunately, the exegesis of only some of the chapters is currently
available, but the site is updated periodically.
•
Islamicity Phoenetic Quran
Search Engine - the world's first phoenetic Quran search engine
(according to them, at least). If you can remember the verse in
Arabic and need to find a reference, type the phoenetic translation into
this engine using English letters.
•
EMuslim
Dictionary of the Holy Quran - an online
English dictionary for Quranic words. Did you know there
are less than 2000 different words in the entire Quran? It's much
easier to learn Quranic Arabic than you think. Take it verse by
verse with this dictionary.
•
IslamWay Radio - almost every Quran recitor you can think
of, in MP3 or
Real Audio format. Includes a recitation with
English translation (here),
and two of the most beautiful recitations you'll ever hear,
Abdul Baset Abdus Samad and
Sa'ad al Ghamidi.
